Long hours culture 'ruining workers' sex lives' One in five people is put off sex because they are too tired after finishing work, a survey has concluded. Family life, community work, socialising, fitness and hobbies are also suffering because of the UK's long hours culture. A poll of 3,500 workers by the union Amicus showed that most did not have enough time to spend with their partners or children. Around 19% said their sex life suffered, rising to 28% among London workers. Roger Lyons, Amicus joint general secretary,
said: "Forcing people to work excessive hours is the work equivalent to
a low carb diet - immediate results but with potentially damaging effects
on the health of your business."
